Dear Friend,
Across the Motherland we are beaming with pride for the great
achievements of our brother, Barack Obama, the first African-American to
ever gain a major party nomination for the Presidency of the United
States of America. What a triumphant time in history for Africans all
over the world, and our spirit will not be broken!
In the country of Benin Republic, West Africa, His Serene Highness
Prince Atarwa Bienvenu Japhet Affo, PhD has spearheaded Obama Benin, an
organization whose mission is to bolster the Obama campaign and
facilitate the election of the first Black President of the most
powerful country in the world. Our Traditional Rulers are in ceremony,
worshipers are praying, and the people are fasting all in support of
Barack Obama for president.
Our efforts are not in the face of reciprocity, but are forged of our
desire to assist our brother on his ascension and transform the minds of
repressed Africans throughout the Diaspora. We Are Leaders, We Are
Worthy, We Are One!
